| Gold it is a very delicate color. It can be used for a background on a web page or in print. Either way, it will give you a very elegant look. We are going to create Gold Texture using our Photoshop program. If you are ready, let's begin... |

Create a new RGB image, any size. For test purposes use, 200 pixels hight by 200 pixels wide. For now, use a 72 dpi resolution. Fill your background layer with white color, then create a new Layer. | ||

Now, press the capital letter D and then the capital letter X. This will help you to reset your swatches palette to the default colors. In this palette, locate a foreground brown color and select it. Look where we are pointing the arrow, that is the color you should use. |

Now, in the Filter menu at the top of your program, apply Render > Clouds. After that, from the layers palette, choose the option Hard light from the pop- down menu. Notice in the pic that the layer 1 is now gold color. |

This is the result you get after applying the Hard light effect. Now we have to add some effects. | ||

Now go to the Filter menu again and use Sharpen > Unsharp Mask, Amount 500, Radius 1.3, Treshold 0. Once you are done with that you'll get something like this. |

Now go to the layer menu and select Image >Adjust >Brightness/Contrast. Play a little with the brightness and the contrast until you find the color that pleases you and you get the look you want. I selected brigthness -20, contrast +20. This is the result. We are done. Now you have a nice GOLD COLOR TEXTURE. |
